Insurance company PolicyBazaar's ad which appeared on February 23 during the ICC Champion's Trophy match between India and Pakistan has been criticised for being "insensitive" and "disgusting." Some even said it was "worse than Ranveer Allahbadia".

The ad showed a woman who had recently lost her husband being frustrated as he failed to buy a term insurance. She is heard saying, "Main school ki fees kaise bharungi, ghar ka kharcha bhi hai… (How will I pay the school fees? There are also household expenses…)."

Social media user Siddharth sharing the ad on X wrote, “Am I the only one who finds this PolicyBazaar ad insanely insensitive? This isn’t financial awareness, it’s just insensitive storytelling.”
.
Several users agreed that the ad was inappropriate.

One user believed the ad was worse than what Ranveer Allahbadia said in India's Got Latent show, and wrote, “Insult to men and humanity.
