This will ease the burden on Bengaluru and make the city more livable," Moily, a former union minister, said.</p>.<p>Siddaramiah has forwarded Moily’s letter to the Urban Development Department (UDD) and the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). </p>.<p>Experts have been advocating for the decongestion of Bengaluru through the creation of large townships around the city, rather than spending an estimated Rs 1 lakh crore on tunnel roads, elevated corridors, and other infrastructure projects that could turn Bengaluru into a construction hub for decades.</p>.<p>They believe that companies would relocate to new satellite towns if the government provides essential infrastructure such as connectivity, water supply, and electricity.</p>
